Staff training and development

This section is aimed at staff development officers. The aim of staff development is to continuously facilitate and provide training to all staff in maintaining, enhancing, and acquiring skills that will result in providing effective and innovative advice and support services to your students and potential students.

This resource recognises how important it is to support staff and help them to manage their careers successfully, including helping new staff to quickly acquaint themselves with their new working environment as well as developing refresher sessions to already experience staff. As a staff development officer, it is your role to find ways to support your staff in the development of their skills, attitudes and knowledge to help them achieve their objectives and your organisation's priorities.
