A way of evaluating the success of the training programme is essential to be established within each organisation. The purpose of having an evaluation mechanism is to assess staff attitudes towards the training sessions and its effectiveness. This resource includes a questionnaire to be filled in after each training session or interviews with participants to obtain feedback.

The benefits of developing an internal evaluation method are two-fold: (1) to check that the resource is being used to its full potential and the training sessions are continually being updated and being carried out successfully and (2) to ensure that the best possible way of dealing with potential students is achieved.

It is important to ensure that when training activities are put into practice, staff understand the bigger picture, in terms of their specific responsibilities within the organisation.
