Listening skills
Being able to listen is one of the most important skills you can have. How well you listen to potential students has a major impact on the quality of your relationship and the likelihood that the student is going to enter formal education. You need to be able to listen to obtain information, understand the student’s personal situation and avoid conflict and misunderstandings.
However, practice is fundamental to acquire the skills to be good listeners, and this resource aims to provide awareness of effective active listening skills so that potential students feel valued and the service provided by your organisation aspires to be more learner-centred.
