Rapport-building skills
Establishing rapport - having potential students like you and remember you fondly - is an invaluable skill, and can help you to engage with potential students. In this respect, it is essential to maintain a sense of humour, be tolerant and open-minded, and above all, never pressurise the student in taking a rushed decision.
The purpose of this resource is to assist you in becoming a more effective communicator, capable of establishing rapport naturally in any situation and with any student. This training activity provides an opportunity to consider key rapport-building skills and practise them.
